✨ Meet D1S Pilot Romain! ✨ At just 16 years old, Romain has already been flying RC models for nine years—and competition quickly became a big part of his journey. 🇫🇷Let’s get to know one of the younger D1 pilots a little better. 🚀 How did you get into RC flying? I started flying because of my older brother. He taught me when I was seven years old, back in 2018. I really liked it from the start and soon began flying small competitions. I quickly became very competitive and kept training and competing until I reached my first championships. ✈️ How long have you been flying the D1S? I started flying the D1S at the end of 2024. I was looking for a glider, and for me, the D1 was the best choice because I really liked the design. I started talking with Arijan, and soon my first D1S arrived. I found it quite easy to fly from the start and noticed some similarities with my F5J. Once you get used to the D1S, it is a very strong plane. 🎮 What do you do besides RC flying? I’m still in high school. Outside of RC flying, I spend most of my weekends and evenings playing racing simulators and hanging out with my friends. 🏆 Romain is already competing at a high level and was part of the 2025 F3K World Championship in Tarp. For him, the goal is simple: finish every round as high as possible and keep pushing forward with the D1S.
